Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is recruiting three Scientific Officers for the Directorate of Forensic Services under advertisement 65/10-2026. All three vacancies are unreserved and appointments follow the state’s fixed-remuneration job-trainee scheme. Eligible postgraduate routes include at least a second-class MSc in Forensic Science with chemical-sciences specialization or relevant dissertation, course or project work, or the specified MSc Chemistry, Biochemistry or Pharmacy, MS Pharm or MP harm qualifications. Applicants also need three years of post-qualification research, training and analytical work in the listed fields. A research supervisor or organization or department head must formally certify the experience; research undertaken for a PhD may count toward this requirement. A PhD and familiarity with Himachal’s local customs and dialects are desirable. The standard age range is 18–45 on 1 January 2026, with the advertised state-category and service relaxations. Monthly job-trainee emoluments are ₹28,000. Applications and fee payment both close at 11:59 PM IST on 3 November 2026. Use the actual HPPSC OTR login, complete the correct Online Recruitment Application, upload educational, experience and age evidence and pay the non-refundable ₹600 examination fee. State reservation or fee concessions require the relevant Himachal domicile and category documents; candidates from other states are treated as General. Serving regular employees need an employer NOC. Selection follows the notice’s screening or subject-aptitude and personality-test arrangements, and originals must support every eligibility claim.
