The Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar invites applications for five Tradesman A posts in electrical, electrical/electronics, mechanical or refrigeration and air-conditioning, and masonry work. This is direct recruitment to Group C positions at Pay Level 2, with a two-year probation period. The last date for receipt of the prescribed paper application is 10 November 2026. School completion alone is insufficient: applicants need 10 th with at least 60% marks, or 12 th with Science and Mathematics, together with a government-recognized ITI or trade certificate of at least one year in the trade required by the chosen post code. The ordinary age range is 18 to 25 on the closing date, with applicable Government of India and DAE relaxations. The five post codes have their own vacancy and reservation entries, so applicants must match both trade and category. Selection includes written examination or screening followed by a mandatory practical trade or skill test. Duties involve laboratory and campus maintenance, electrical installations, electronic equipment, refrigeration systems or civil repairs according to the trade.
