Academic Counsellor — Online Empanelment (IGNOU)

Ongoing online empanelment for Academic Counsellors across IGNOU programmes. Counselling may be delivered online depending on the Regional Centre / Learner Support Centre requirements.

IGNOU is a Central University under the Ministry of Education. Empanelment is processed online via the official OACE portal (PAN-based registration).

Important: IGNOU states that empanelment is not a full-time job offer. After approval, services are utilised as per the requirement of the Study Centre / Regional Centre. Online counselling schedules are issued by Regional Centres.

Responsibilities

Conduct academic counselling sessions (online or as allotted), support learners with course queries, guide Tutor Marked Assignments where required, and coordinate with the assigned Learner Support Centre.

Subject expertise for the chosen programme/courses; teaching or higher-education experience as specified in IGNOU counsellor eligibility criteria (school/programme/course wise).

Education requirements

Typically postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject / eligibility aligned with Assistant Professor norms, as notified by IGNOU for the programme/course.
