Selection process

The district or ICDS project office (CDPO) publishes the vacancy notice, often on the district website or the state's recruitment portal.
Online or offline application within the notified window.
Worker (sevika/karyakarta) and helper (sahayika) posts: a merit list built from the marks in the qualifying exam the notice names — usually no written test.
Provisional merit list open for objections, then document verification and the final selection list (in Bihar, confirmed in a ward-level general meeting).
Supervisor (mukhya sevika) posts: a written exam by the state's selection body in some states, or promotion of experienced workers in others — check the notification.
