Merit-based selection, no written exam

Anganwadi Previous Year Papers: Worker and Helper Posts Have No Exam

Anganwadi worker (sevika) and helper (sahayika) posts are usually filled from a district merit list on qualifying-exam marks, with no written test — so there are no previous year papers for them. Only supervisor posts filled by a written exam in some states have papers, published by the body that conducts that exam.

Selection process

How Anganwadi selection works instead

  1. Worker and helper vacancies are notified district by district, often by the ICDS project (CDPO) office.
  2. Applicants are ranked on the marks of the qualifying exam the notice names (for example 10th or 12th), under the state's rules.
  3. A provisional merit list is published for objections, then a final selection list; in Bihar, selection is confirmed in a ward-level general meeting.
  4. Supervisor (mukhya sevika) posts differ: some states fill them by a written exam, whose conducting body publishes any papers; others promote serving workers.
