The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi has outlined the detailed examination pattern and evaluation criteria for the recruitment of non-teaching positions, specifically for the post of Office Attendant (Pay Level 01) under Advertisement No. 08/2025. The selection process comprises two stages: a Written Examination and a Proficiency Test. The Written Examination is 150 minutes long and carries 100 marks, divided into three parts: Part A (20 marks, General Knowledge), Part B (60 marks, Domain Knowledge), and Part C (20 marks, Descriptive Practical Knowledge). There is negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer in Parts A and B, but no negative marking in Part C. Minimum qualifying marks in the written test are 60% for UR/EWS, 55% for OBC, and 50% for SC/ST/PwD. Shortlisted candidates (1:6 ratio) will appear for a 60-minute Proficiency Test worth 50 marks, with qualifying marks set at 55% for UR/EWS and 50% for OBC/SC/ST/PwD. Tie-breaking criteria include desirable qualifications, age, alphabetical order of name, and draw of lots. The syllabus includes numerical ability, logical reasoning, language comprehension, general knowledge, current affairs, computer fundamentals, file management, record keeping, and official documentation practices.
