Corrigendum to Notification No.15/2023 for Assistant Environmental Engineer Recruitment

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released a corrigendum to Notification No.15/2023 dated 26/12/2023, modifying the examination scheme and syllabus for the recruitment of Assistant Environmental Engineer in the A.P. Pollution Control Board. The key change involves the restructuring of Paper-II from discipline-specific subjects (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering) to a common subject titled 'Environmental Science & Technology' with an increased maximum mark weightage from 150 to 300. The revised syllabus covers core environmental topics including ecosystems, natural resources, biodiversity, pollution control technologies, waste management, environmental legislation, and sustainable development. The written examination remains objective type at degree level, consisting of three papers totaling 450 marks, with negative marking of 1/3rd for incorrect answers as per G.O.Ms. No.235. The corrigendum was issued on 25/01/2024 based on candidate feedback.
