Mizoram Public Health Engineering Department (Group B posts) Recruitment Rules, 2025

The Mizoram Government has issued the Public Health Engineering Department (Group B posts) Recruitment Rules, 2025, effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. These rules govern appointments to the posts of Draftsman Grade-I and Draftsman Grade-II. A total of 4 posts of Draftsman Grade-I and 22 posts of Draftsman Grade-II are classified under General State Service, Group-B, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The pay matrix levels are Level 7 (₹39,100 – ₹86,800) and Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹78,800) respectively. Recruitment is entirely by promotion: Draftsman Grade-I from Grade-II with 5 years of regular service, and Draftsman Grade-II from Grade-III with 10 years of service. No direct recruitment is allowed. Training and departmental examinations are mandatory. The rules supersede the 2016 version, with provisions for relaxation by the State Government in consultation with the Mizoram Public Service Commission. Reservations for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, and other categories remain unaffected.
