ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute — a vocational training institution (government or private) that offers trade-specific technical courses such as Electrician, Fitter, Welder and COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant).
ITI courses run under two main frameworks: NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training), which awards nationally recognised NTC/NAC certificates, and SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training), recognised at the state level. Admission is typically after Class 8 or Class 10, depending on the trade and institute.
