ITI / NCVT Apply Online — How to Check
ITI admission under NCVT runs state-wise: each state's admission portal takes online applications for its ITIs, and enrolled trainees are then registered on the DGT's NCVT MIS system. This page explains the flow and the documents to keep ready.

How it works
Step-by-step
- Find your state's official ITI admission portal (linked from your state's DGT/skill department site).
- Register with your personal details and a working mobile number.
- Fill the application with your school qualification details and trade preferences.
- Upload photograph, signature and the certificates the portal lists.
- Pay the application/counselling fee where applicable and submit.
- Track counselling rounds and seat allotment on the same portal, then report to the allotted ITI for admission.
How ITI admission under NCVT works
Admissions are run by states — each publishes its own admission notification, merit/counselling process and trade-wise seat matrix for government and private ITIs.
Once admitted, trainees are registered on NCVT MIS (the DGT's central system), which later hosts hall tickets, marksheets and certificates for AITT.
Choosing trades and institutes
Trade preferences drive allotment: check each trade's entry qualification (some accept eighth-pass, most common trades ask for tenth-pass) and the institute's NCVT affiliation status before listing it.
Affiliated-trade seats lead to the national NCVT certificate via AITT — that portability is the main reason to verify affiliation during counselling.
Documents to keep ready
School marksheets and certificates, category/domicile documents where the state's reservation applies, and photo/signature scans to the portal's specification — mismatched names or dates against originals are the usual verification failures.

Common questions
ITI / NCVT Apply online FAQ
Is there one national portal for ITI admission?
No — admission portals are state-wise; NCVT MIS is the central registry where enrolled trainees' records, AITT hall tickets and certificates live after admission.
What qualification do I need for ITI admission?
It depends on the trade — entry requirements range from eighth-pass to tenth-pass with specific subjects; each state's admission notification carries the trade-wise table.
Does applying earlier improve my ITI seat chances?
Allotment is merit- and preference-based through counselling rounds, but applying early avoids last-day portal issues and leaves time to fix document errors.
