How to structure preparation

10+2 level focus — do not over-prepare for CGL depth

CHSL quant stays at 10+2 NCERT level. Prioritise arithmetic speed, basic algebra and English comprehension over advanced CGL topics.

DEO typing stage — start early

DEO aspirants should begin typing practice in month 2 using the free CPCT typing tool. Target consistent 35 WPM with accuracy before the skill test stage.

Mock rhythm — bi-weekly then weekly

Take CHSL mocks bi-weekly in months 1–3, then weekly in the final month. Review reasoning and quant mistakes same day.

Common questions

Strategy FAQ

Is CHSL preparation different from CGL?

Yes. CHSL is 10+2 level with lower quant depth. DEO posts add a typing skill test. Use CHSL-specific mocks rather than only CGL tests.
