The source dates the opening ceremony to 2 November 2026 at Maritime Warfare Centre, Visakhapatnam; this digest entry is dated 3 November. Record the ceremony date separately from the digest date.
Tiger Triumph is described as an India–US bilateral tri-service HADR exercise. Expand HADR as Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, keeping the humanitarian purpose with the exercise name.
This edition uses a tabletop exercise format, or TTX. The source stresses coordination, joint planning and interoperability. A tabletop format should not be rewritten as evidence that a field combat drill or disaster deployment occurred.
The report identifies NDRF participation for the first time in this fifth edition. The revision value is the specific edition and additional participating disaster-response body; it does not establish a first-ever India–US exercise.
Check your understanding
Does “tri-service” name the number of participating countries?
No. The release names India and the US; tri-service describes the services involved.
Do not turn a two-country exercise into a three-country one.
What does TTX tell you about this edition?
It is being conducted as a tabletop exercise.
Format and humanitarian purpose are separate details worth keeping together.
Which date belongs to the opening ceremony?
2 November 2026.
The digest’s 3 November date is not the ceremony date.
