Checked on 9 October 2026: This review did not verify a current public Infosys India notice establishing one salary for every fresher. A figure attached to a particular role, cohort or campus drive should not become a universal “Infosys fresher package.” Your actual offer and its component schedule are needed to understand what you would receive.
The historical figures below are supported by a dated university recruitment notice. The later offer-breakdown exercise is independently invented and is not an Infosys offer. Keep those two kinds of information separate when comparing salary claims.
Verified historical figures and their limits
A RGUKT Basar Training and Placement Office notice dated 4 July 2022 announced Infosys recruitment for the 2023 passing-out cohort. It stated these role-specific annual CTC figures:
| Historical role | Annual CTC |
|---|---|
| Specialist Programmer | ₹9.5 lakh |
| Digital Specialist Engineer | ₹6.25 lakh |
This is a university's historical campus announcement, not a current 2026 employer-wide salary policy. Its registration deadline has passed. The figures do not establish today's package, monthly salary credit, training pay or a package for another role. The notice labels them CTC; it does not supply the full component breakdown needed to calculate monthly cash.
If you see the same numbers in a newer-looking article, check whether the underlying evidence is this older drive or a genuinely newer source. A changed headline year does not update an old recruitment announcement.
Keep preparing

Record the exact employer entity, role, location, cohort or event, source date and compensation unit. “Fresher” describes an experience category, not a complete compensation agreement. Different roles or recruitment routes should be compared only after checking what each quoted figure actually covers.
Distinguish an employer notice, a university's published campus announcement, an individual offer and an anonymous salary report. Each supports a different claim. Do not reproduce someone's private offer or personal information because a copy happens to be searchable online.
For a figure without a source or date, write “unverified” rather than treating it as confirmed. A public company office location also says nothing about the salary for an advertised role in that city. You need the relevant recruitment or offer information.
CTC and monthly cash answer different questions
CTC is the total described in the compensation schedule. The schedule may distinguish recurring cash, variable amounts, employer-side contributions, one-time items or other components. Use the actual labels and conditions rather than assuming every component is monthly cash paid to you.
A division of annual CTC by twelve produces an arithmetic monthly average of that total. It does not automatically produce fixed monthly gross cash or the amount credited after deductions. Similarly, an annual variable amount may depend on conditions and a payment schedule; it should not silently become a guaranteed monthly amount.
Ask for a component schedule when the offer provides only a headline. If an item is unclear, identify its amount, frequency, condition and whether it is included in the total. Do not infer deductions, training pay or joining benefits from a different candidate's package.
Worked example: unpack a fictional ₹4.8 lakh total
The following schedule is entirely invented to illustrate reading a breakdown. It is not an Infosys package, a market benchmark or an actual offer received by anyone.
| Fictional annual component | Amount |
|---|---|
| Fixed gross cash | ₹3,90,000 |
| Conditional variable amount | ₹60,000 |
| Employer-side benefit component | ₹30,000 |
| Stated total | ₹4,80,000 |
The components sum to ₹4,80,000: ₹3,90,000 + ₹60,000 + ₹30,000. Dividing the total by twelve gives ₹40,000, but that is an average of the total, not a monthly cash promise.
Under this fictional schedule's additional assumption that fixed gross cash is paid in twelve equal monthly amounts, the fixed monthly gross cash is ₹3,90,000 ÷ 12 = ₹32,500. We have not supplied deductions, payment dates or the variable-payment conditions, so the amount credited to a bank account remains unknown.
The ₹60,000 variable amount cannot be added to every month's fixed cash without confirming its conditions and timing. The employer-side benefit component is also not described as monthly cash in this example. Keep both distinctions visible instead of reporting ₹40,000 as take-home pay.
Compare two totals without hiding the trade-off
Consider a second invented schedule: ₹4,20,000 fixed gross cash, ₹30,000 conditional variable amount and ₹30,000 employer-side benefits. Its total is also ₹4,80,000.
Under the same twelve-equal-payments assumption, its fixed monthly gross cash is ₹35,000. That is ₹2,500 more fixed gross cash per month than the first fictional schedule, while the conditional annual amount is ₹30,000 lower. Equal headline totals therefore do not establish identical payment patterns.
This comparison does not tell you which real offer to choose. It shows the question the total alone cannot answer. Neither schedule supplies the other terms, deductions or circumstances required for a personal decision, and neither is evidence of actual Infosys compensation.
If you use a spreadsheet, keep each component in a separate row. Add a status such as fixed, conditional, one-time or unresolved according to the actual wording. Check the sum against the stated total, and flag any mismatch instead of filling the gap with an invented allowance.
Questions to resolve with the authorised contact
Ask which amounts are recurring fixed cash, which are conditional, when they are paid and whether a one-time amount is part of the headline total. Clarify any training-period terms in the actual offer rather than assuming training and post-training payments are identical.
Also identify the role and location stated in the offer, any unresolved joining details and where the component schedule can be obtained. Send only the personal information necessary for the relevant authorised process. A public forum is not the place to upload a complete offer or identity document.
An unsent clarification draft could read: “Please help me identify the recurring fixed cash, conditional components and payment frequency in the stated compensation schedule. I would also like to confirm which terms apply during training and after it, and whether any one-time amounts are included in the total.”
This is an original practice message. It does not claim that Infosys uses these particular components, that a recruiter answered or that an offer was revised. Replace its questions with the actual points unresolved in your own document.
Keep salary, selection and payment status separate
A published compensation figure is not an offer to you. A selection message, an offer document, acceptance, joining and salary credit are different events. Record what actually happened and which document establishes it.
Do not assume a referral, assessment result or training invitation establishes the complete pay schedule. If an important term is missing, ask before treating it as agreed. If a public notice is historical, retain its date in any comparison you make.
The same care applies to future increases. A possible progression, a conditional incentive and an agreed current fixed amount are different descriptions. This review does not establish an automatic raise, a guaranteed training stipend or a uniform benefits package for all freshers.
A practical salary-comparison record
Use a record containing: exact role and event; source date; headline total; component amounts; payment frequencies; conditions; unresolved items; and the date you obtained clarification. Keep actual personal documents private and use synthetic figures in public examples.
After clarification, update the record with the answer and its source. Do not retrospectively describe an assumption as a confirmed term. If the schedule changes, retain enough history to understand which version you relied on.
For current Infosys applications, start from Infosys's official careers site and the relevant drive or offer. The dated historical PDF above is useful evidence of what that particular announcement stated; it should not be used as a substitute for a current recruitment document.
Frequently asked questions
Is the historical package confirmed for all 2026 freshers?
No. The cited announcement concerns particular roles and an older cohort. This review has not verified a current universal figure.
Can I calculate take-home pay from CTC alone?
No. You need the actual components, payment conditions and applicable deductions. The fictional calculations above deliberately leave bank-credit amounts unknown.
Can two equal packages have different monthly fixed cash?
Yes, as the invented comparison demonstrates. Inspect the component schedule rather than comparing only the headline total.
