The Assam Administrative Staff College has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Public Prosecutor. The recruitment is open to candidates who have completed their LL.B. degree and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of law. The selection process will consist of a written examination and a viva-voce. The written examination will be held on a date to be announced later, and the viva-voce will be held on September 3, 2024. Candidates who have been shortlisted for the viva-voce will be notified through email. The candidates are required to bring their call letter, along with an identity proof and their original documents, to the viva-voce. The candidates are also required to bring a copy of any application or petition they have filed and registered before a court of law, as well as a copy of any order or judgment passed by a court of law in any criminal proceeding in which they have appeared, conducted, and argued the matter. The candidates are advised to reach the venue of the viva-voce prior to the reporting time. Any candidate found using unfair means or violating the rules shall be disqualified and action taken as per norms.

The candidates are required to download the call letter sent to their email ID and bring the same on the day of viva-voce. Every candidate shall bring appropriate identity proof/document to enable the Authorities to verify the identity of the candidate with the Call Letter etc. e.g. Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport etc.
