The Government of Gujarat has issued the Multipurpose Health Worker (Male), Class III (Panchayat Service) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2014, under the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993. The amendment modifies Rule 3 to set the age limit between 18 and 29 years. However, the upper age limit of 29 years does not apply to candidates currently working as Multipurpose Health Workers (Male), Class III, on contract, fixed pay, or ad-hoc basis with regular pay, provided they meet the prescribed qualifications and apply in response to an advertisement published in 2014.
