Recruitment for Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has issued Notification No. 26/2016 for the recruitment of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges under the A.P. Collegiate Education Service. A total of 504 vacancies are available across 19 subjects including English, Telugu, Mathematics, Computer Science, and others, distributed zonally (Z-1 to Z-4). The application process is entirely online via www.psc.ap.gov.in or http://appscapplications17.apspsc.gov.in from December 29, 2016, to January 28, 2017 (fee payment deadline). Candidates must possess a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH and Ph.D. holders with pre-1991 Master’s) in the relevant subject and qualify UGC-NET/SLET. Ph.D. holders compliant with UGC 2009 regulations are exempt from NET/SLET. The selection process includes a possible offline screening test (if applicants exceed 25,000) and an online computer-based main examination scheduled for June 6, 2017 (FN & AN). Hall tickets will be available 7 days before the exam. Mock tests are provided for practice. Age limit is 18–42 years as of July 1, 2016, with relaxations up to 10 years for reserved categories and specific groups. Pay scale is Rs.15,600–39,100 with Rs.6,000 AGP, revised under UGC 2006 scales.
