Recruitment Rules of Academic and Non Academic Staff of NIOS-2022

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has issued updated Recruitment Rules for Academic and Non-Academic Staff in 2022, replacing the 2007 rules. These rules govern appointments through direct recruitment, promotion, deputation, absorption, short-term contracts, and re-employment. The recruitment process includes written tests, skill tests, and interviews as per the appointing authority's decision. Eligibility criteria, age limits (with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen), and reservation policies follow Government of India guidelines. The rules also allow cross-cadre duties while protecting staff seniority and service conditions. Contracts may last up to three years with approval. Selection committees are constituted as per prescribed norms.
