The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee's Department of Civil Engineering is seeking Indian nationals for a Research Associate position under the project titled 'Advanced Transport Modelling and Simulation of National Highways in India', led by Prof. Amir Agarwal. The role involves work in travel demand modeling, crowdsourced data analysis, and transport modeling and simulation. The position is initially for one year or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. Candidates must hold a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and an M.Tech in Transportation Engineering or Planning, with at least one degree from an IIT/IIIT/IISc. Knowledge of Python is desirable. Emoluments range between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month based on experience and performance, plus HRA as per institute rules. Applications must be submitted by 20th February 2026, with a walk-in interview scheduled on 21st February 2026 at the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee.
