The Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), under ICAR, is hiring a Junior Research Fellow for a time-bound project on Land Degradation Mapping (Cycle-II) until June 30, 2018. The position offers a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month plus HRA. Essential qualifications include a postgraduate degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geology, or M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry with NET/GATE or GATE-qualified M.Tech in Remote Sensing. Candidates must have experience in satellite data interpretation, digital mapping using open-source GIS and remote sensing tools, and proficiency in ArcGIS and ERDAS. Desirable experience includes field surveys and land degradation mapping. The walk-in interview was scheduled for December 28, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the office of Dr. Mahesh Kumar Gaur, Senior Scientist, CAZRI, Jodhpur. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
