The Government of Assam has issued a notification for the amalgamation of 44 LP Schools with 40 UP Schools in Cachar district under the 'Siksha Khetra' scheme. The amalgamation aims to improve the quality of education and provide better facilities to the students. The details of the amalgamated schools are mentioned in Annexure-C and D. The salary of the regular employees will be paid under the Head of Account '2202- Gen-Edu-01-Ele-Edu-101-Govt. Primary schools-0165-Govt. Primary school-000-(No Sub-Sub Head)-01-Salaries-00-(No Sub Detail Head)'. The wages of the newly provincialised tutors and newly accommodated teachers will be paid under the Head of Account '2202- Gen-Edu-01-Ele-Edu-101-Govt. Primary schools-0165-Govt. Primary school-000-(No Sub-Sub Head)-02-Wages-99-Others EE GAV'. The salary of contractual teachers under SSA will be paid as earlier through SSA. The teacher of the amalgamated school will take classes from class I to V and UP teachers will take classes from class I to VIII. The movable/ immovable property / documents/ records of the amalgamated schools will be vested in the name of Base (new) School.
