4th Tri-Services Future Warfare Course to begin in New Delhi on August 3

The 4th Tri-Services Future Warfare Course commencing on August 3, 2024, in New Delhi marks a significant milestone in India's ongoing defence transformation journey. This four-week programme, conducted under the aegis of Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), represents the practical implementation of the 'jointness' doctrine that has been at the heart of India's military reforms since the Kargil Review Committee (2000) and the subsequent Group of Ministers' report on national security. The course brings together officers from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force alongside representatives from government organisations and academia, creating a unique cross-domain learning environment essential for modern warfare. The historical context is crucial for competitive exam aspirants. Post-Kargil reforms identified the lack of synergy among the three services as a critical gap.
