The Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, has issued a notification to amend the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The notification makes further amendments to the notification No.1/2017-Central Tax (Rate), dated the 28th June, 2017. The amendments include changes to the rates of tax and the classification of goods. The notification comes into force on the 1st January, 2019.
