Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under the Physical Sciences Division of the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, Assam. The selected candidate will work under a mentor and will be entitled to leaves as per norms of the host institution. The fellowship can be availed only once by a candidate in his/her career. The I-PDF is entitled to receive a fellowship amount of ₹80,000/- per month. The appointment will be for a period of 12 (twelve) months which may be extended maximum for a period of one year (6 months at a stretch) depending on the satisfactory performance of the candidate. The candidate should have at least 2 first author publications (in the relevant subject area) in peer-reviewed national and/or international journals each having more than 2 impact factor. The candidate should have expertise in performing electrical measurements and synthesis of functional nanomaterials and polymer nanocomposites, and fabricating free-standing films of polymer/polymer composite materials/advanced functional nanomaterials. The candidate should have experience of working on polymer/functional nanomaterials related to super capacitors, energy storage, or polymer based sensing applications. The candidate who has submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply. The upper age limit is 35 years at the time of application. Relaxation as per GoI rules.
