About This Opportunity

The Consulate General of India, Sydney invites application for full-time post of Local Chauffeur-cum-Messenger (01). The job profile includes driving official vehicle during the weekdays and during weekends & after office hours on need basis. The applicant should have the following requirements: • Either Australian citizen or resident with valid Permanent Resident Permit and holder of valid work permit. • Valid full Australian driving license. Minimum 3 years of driving experience in Australia is desirable. He should be able to drive in other states of Australia. • Minimum qualification is 12th Grade. • Should be familiar with prominent places and roads in Sydney & especially in CBD. • Applicant should have good knowledge of driving and upkeep of vehicles along with basic knowledge of automobile engineering systems. • Applicant must have full knowledge of all local road/traffic rules and regulations. • Applicant must provide Correct Eye Vision Certificate from authorized ophthalmologist and medical fitness certificate from authorized doctor. • Applicant should have clean personal behavioral records, Clean Driving history check with RMS and if selected, Police Clearance Certificate with No cases of local law violating records till the date of joining the Consulate General of India, Sydney to be submitted. • Applicant must have good reading, writing and working knowledge of English. Applicants should have good inter-personal communication skills, be able to adapt to improvements in work environment. • The selection will be done on the basis of written test cum road skill test followed by personal interview.
