The Government of India, Lakshadweep Administration, has reconstituted the State Level Advisory Committee (SLAC) for Plastic Waste Management in Lakshadweep. The committee will comprise of 12 members, including the Secretary (Panchayat) as the Chairman, and will meet at least once in every six months to review the effective monitoring of implementation of Plastic Waste Management rules and give advice to the Union Territory of Lakshadweep Administration to take measures that are necessary for expeditious and appropriate implementation of these rules.
