The Botanical Survey of India (BSI) is recruiting for Research Associate-II, Project Associate– I, and Project Assistant positions under the MoEF&CC funded project 'Plant Based Wildlife Health Management'. The positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidates will work in any Regional Centre/Botanic Garden of Botanical Survey of India and will be required to undertake extensive travel to various regions of India. The candidates are expected to do data compilation from old/classical literatures of Indian systems of medicines, research articles, databases, and any other available literature as well as from field surveys to various regions of India. The candidates with sound knowledge in Botany/Ethnobotany/Ayurveda/Ethnoveterinary/Plant taxonomy/Sanskrit and experience in fieldwork are encouraged to apply. Education: Postgraduate degree in Botany/Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences or equivalent degree from UGC recognized University. Age Limit: 35 years. Experience: 3 years of research, teaching experience (after MVSc/MD Ayurveda) with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. Nationality: Indian citizen. Other: Candidates with sound knowledge in Botany/Ethnobotany/Ayurveda/Ethnoveterinary/Plant taxonomy/Sanskrit and experience in fieldwork are encouraged to apply.
Pay Scale: ₹61,000 - ₹20,000 per month. Grade Pay: ₹31,000 - ₹20,000 per month. Level: Pay Matrix Level 10 - 6. Allowances: HRA, DA, TA. Total Package: Approximately ₹61,000 - ₹20,000 per month.
