The offer of appointment to the candidates whose result has been kept provisional will not be issued till the Commission
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 for recruitment to the posts of Geologist, Scientist 'B' (Hydrogeology), Geophysicist, and Chemist in various government organizations. The examination will consist of two stages: Stage-I (Preliminary) and Stage-II (Main). The preliminary examination will be held on February 9, 2025, and the main examination will be held on June 21-22, 2025. The result of the examination will be declared on the UPSC website. The selected candidates will be appointed to the posts based on their performance in the examination and other selection criteria. The application process for the examination will start on January 15, 2025, and the last date for submission of applications is February 5, 2025. The examination fee for the general category candidates is Rs. 200, and for the SC/ST candidates, it is Rs. 0. The candidates can apply online through the UPSC website.
The candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university. The age limit for the candidates is 21-32 years as on August 1, 2025.
