The Government of India, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi, has revised the recruitment rules for the post of Director General, CIPET. The revised rules have been issued in supersession of the Ministry's letter no. 330171312007-PC IV dated 8th October, 2008. The revised rules are as follows: Eligibility: The age of superannuation of DG CIPET is 62 years. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Science/Engineering with specialization in Polymer Science/Plastics. The candidate should have 16 years of experience in the thrust areas related to the objectives of the Institute, i.e., Academic/Research, Technology, Research & Development, and services to the industries. The candidate should be creative, innovative, and a well-established Scientist/Technologist having a demonstrated ability in Training, Industrial consultancy, and multidisciplinary R&D activities. The candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of administrative experience in Research/Training/Educational Institute of Repute. Selection Process: The selection will be made by a Selection Committee constituted by the Government of India or the Institute. The method of recruitment will be either by direct recruitment or by promotion or by transfer on deputation basis. The vacancies to be filled by deputation will be filled by the Central Government. Important Dates and Deadlines: The appointment to the post of Director General, CIPET will be made on contract for a period of one year or till the date of superannuation, whichever is earlier.
