The Government of Meghalaya is proposing the construction of a Border Outpost for the Border Security Force (BSF) in Kalaicharpara, South West Garo Hills. The acquisition of land measuring 3317 Sq.m is required for this purpose. A social Impact Assessment team has been formed to consult, survey, and take public hearing after the publication of this Notification. The team will fix and indicate the dates and venue for which all concerned will be requested to remain present with their claims/objections/suggestions, if any. The concerned land owner, A-king Nokma, Kalaigaon A-king, themselves or their representative, the Headman of Kalaicharpara, and the villagers may remain present for hearing for consent/approval for the project. The process must be completed, and the SIA report must be submitted along with the plan (SIMP) within the time specified as per RFCT-LARR Act, 2013. Any attempt at coercion or threat against the process during the specified period will render the exercise null & void.
