The Government of Meghalaya is pleased to announce the constitution of a Transgender Justice Board at all 11 districts of the state. The board will comprise of 11 members, including a Deputy Labour Commissioner, District School Education Officer, and a representative from a Community Based Organisation. The board's terms of reference include monitoring the implementation of the TG Policy, ensuring convergence of existing schemes, and issuing guidelines for equality and equity of TGs. The term of the committee is 3 years from the date of publication of the orders. The board will have sittings from time to time when circumstances compel.
