The Health Department, Diu, is recruiting for various specialist and medical officer positions on a short-term contract basis. The positions are available under the UT Plan, and the contract will be initially for a period of 6 months or till regular posts are filled up, whichever is earlier. The selected candidates will be required to render support for strengthening the health services. The positions are purely on a contract basis, and the contract will be extended on the basis of performance appraisal or till the posts are filled up on a regular basis. The candidates must possess a graduate/master/PG degree/PG diploma and valid registration. Candidates having a domicile certificate of U.T. of DNH, Daman & Diu will be given preference. The age relaxation may be considered for specialists by the competent authority. For smooth functioning of the Health Department, the specialist and medical officer need to be available on call as and when required, and their residence must be compulsory in the headquarter in public interest. They can leave the headquarter after due approval of the respective Head of Office. Also, an undertaking has to be given that he/she will not do any private practice. No T.A/D.A or any other claim shall be paid for attending the interview.
