Applications are invited from Indian citizen for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under the Physical Sciences Division of the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, Assam. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work under a mentor and will be entitled to leaves as per norms of the host institution. The fellowship can be availed only once by a candidate in his/her career. The appointment will be for a period of 12 (twelve) months which may be extended maximum for a period of one year (6 months at a stretch) depending on the satisfactory performance of the candidate. The fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any Government or Non-Governmental source during the tenure of the fellowship.
Education: Ph.D. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Material Science/ Applied Physics/ Nano Science. The candidate must have research experience in working on electronic structure calculations in bulk/low-dimensional systems using DFT during his/her Ph.D. Age Limit: Upper age limit is 35 years at the time of the application. Relaxation as per GoI rules.
