The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, has declared its intention to acquire land for the construction and widening of National Highway No. 6 through a Notification dated 17.05.2021. The notification is issued in pursuance to the provisions of sub-section (3) of Section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). Any person having objections to the acquisition of land lying within 130 km to 147.25 km of Champhai District may submit in writing reasons for objection not later than 21 days from the date of issue of the Notification to the Additional Deputy Commissioner / Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA), Champhai District. Details pertaining to the land to be acquired can be seen at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Champhai during office hours.
