The West Bengal government is recruiting for the position of Member, Child Welfare Committee. The committee will consist of a Chairperson and four other members, of whom at least one shall be a woman and another, an expert on the matters concerning children. The Member shall have a degree in social work or sociology or human health or education or psychology or psychiatry or law or human development or special education for differently abled children and has been actively involved in health, education or welfare activities pertaining to children for seven years or is a practicing professional with a degree in child psychology or psychiatry or law or social work or sociology or human health or education or human development or special education for differently abled children. The Member shall be paid such sitting allowance, travel allowance and any other allowance as the state Govt. may prescribe but not less than Rs 2000/- per sitting.
