The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, is acquiring land for the widening/two-lane with paved shoulder/four-laning of National Highway 6 in the Champhai district of Mizoram. The land acquisition is for a public purpose, and the Central Government has declared its intention to acquire the land. The land to be acquired is located in the stretch of land from Km 130 to Km 147.25, and the total area to be acquired is approximately 4.47 hectares. The land acquisition is necessary for the maintenance, management, and operation of NH6. Any person interested in the said land may object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette. The Competent Authority, namely, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, will give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. The land plans and other details of the land to be acquired are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the office of the Competent Authority.
