The Indian Coast Guard is recruiting for the posts of Engine Driver and Sarang Lascar. The vacancies are for General Central Service, Group 'C', Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in Pay Level- 04 in the pay matrix. The candidates must be matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized Boards and have a certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent. The age limit is between 18 - 30 years, relaxable for Govt. servants upto 40 years in accordance with the orders issued by Central Govt. in this regards. The selection process includes scrutiny of applications, document verification, and a written examination. The written examination will be pen-paper based and one hour duration. The question paper will consist of 80 objective type questions with one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking. The merit list will be prepared strictly based on merit position as per marks obtained in the written examination and will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website along with necessary instructions.
