Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) is an autonomous multidisciplinary research organization under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. The Institute requires one Veterinary Doctor for its Animal House Facility. The appointment would be as consultant for 11 months initially, which may or may not be extended without assigning any reason whatsoever. The selected candidate will be involved in the primary care and monitoring of the health status of the animals in the animal house facility of IASST. The remuneration would be on a call basis. An amount of Rs. 2,500.00 will be paid for each call for proper care of animals and a minimum of Rs. 25,000.00 per month will be paid till the tenure of the contract. The Institute is looking for a candidate with Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences (B.V. Sc.) and Animal Husbandry with minimum 2 years’ experience in care, handling, breeding, and maintenance of laboratory animals particularly inbred/transgenic strains. The maximum age limits 35 years with relaxation for candidates of reserved categories per Govt. of India rule. The candidate should not be employed in any State or Central Govt regular/Contractual post. Desirable: Master degree in Veterinary Sciences (M.V. Sc.). Experience of working in an animal research facility linked to an Academic Institution/ Contract Research Animal Houses. Local candidates practicing in the local area will be preferred.
