The G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development is inviting applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under the DST funded project 'National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE)' and the MoEFCC funded project 'Ecosystem Services in Changing Biodiversity State: A Comparative Study of Western and Eastern Himalayan Forest Stands'. The positions are purely project-based and the selected candidates will be working on various tasks related to the projects. The candidates must have a Master's degree in Social sciences, Geography, Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field. The age limit for the candidates is 28 years. The selected candidates will be paid a fixed salary of Rs. 16,000/- per month plus HRA (10%) for NET (JRF) qualified persons or Rs. 12,000/- per month plus HRA (10%) for Non- NET (JRF) qualified persons. The candidates must be physically fit to work in the Himalayan Region. The applications are invited for three positions: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for NMSHE TF 05- 01, Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for NMSHE TF 03- 01, and Junior Research Fellow for MoEFCC funded project-01.
