Applications are invited for the following purely project/contract based temporary positions at G.B. PANT NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HIMALAYAN ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. The Institute invites candidates with adequate qualifications and appropriate experience in relevant subject/specialization to appear for Walk-In-Interview on 19 February, 2018 at 11:00 AM onward at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. Desirous candidate may forward an advance copy of the application to the Administrative Officer by e-mail os@gbpihed.nic.in clearly mentioning the position applied for. Candidates appearing for Interview should bring original copies (with xerox copy) of testimonials, biodata, publications etc along with an application. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the Interview. The positions are for Research Associate (04 Nos.) under the MoEF&CC-NATCOM-3 Project. The emoluments are Rs. 38,000/- pm + HRA. The age limit is Maximum 35 Years. The essential qualification is Ph.D Degree in Climate Change and related subjects (Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Botany, Forestry, Economics, Social Science, Geography). The nature of duties and responsibilities include Assessment of impacts of climate change on forests - at regional level/sub regional level/state, for the period 2030, 2050, 2080, Development of Vulnerability map and indices for different types of forests in major ecosystems and biodiversity hotspots, Development of an adaptation framework for mitigation at state-level. The duration is upto June 2018.
