For WPM, EAM and EGP Theme Position Research Associate (01 No.) Emoluments @ Rs. 36,000/ p.m. + HRA Age* 35 years Qualification 1st class Master Degree in Civil Engineering/Agricultural Engineering/ with specialization in Water Resources/Hydrology/Environmental Engineering/Engineering Geology with 3 years experience or First Class Masters Degree and Ph. D. in Physical Sciences/Geological Sciences/ Geography / RS-GIS Desirable Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working with GIS / Remote sensing software/ Hydrological instrumentation Nature of Duties & Responsibilities Numerical analyses and mathematical modeling of hydrological processes, field work in difficult terrain across IHR to assist Institutional In-House research projects at Institute HQs and Regional Units Place of work All over Indian Himalayan region (IHR) B. For BCM & CC Theme Position Research Associate (01 No.) Emoluments @ Rs. 36,000/ p.m. + HRA Age* 35 years Qualification Doctoral (Ph.D) or equivalent degree (or having three years of research experience after M.E./M.Tech./M. Pharma) with first class Masters degree in Botany, Forestry, Zoology, Biodiversity, Biotechnology, Ecological Economics, Resource management. Desirable Specialization and/or experience of working in biodiversity conservation, Natural Resource Management, Ecological Economics, Climate Change impacts, Phytochemical Analysis Knowledge Networking, and knowledge product development with publications in reputed journals Nature of Duties & Responsibilities Detailed information collection, analysis synthesis, knowledge networking, linkage with national global Institutions, extensive field work and knowledge product development. Sl. No. -03: DST-National Mission for Sustainable Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) Task Force-3 funded project Title: Forest Resource and Plant Biodiversity Position Junior Research Fellow (01 No.) Emoluments @ Rs. 12,000/ pm +HRA @ Rs. 16,000/ pm + HRA for NET(JRF)/GATE qualified Age* Maximum 28 Years Eligibility First Class Masters degree in Botany/Forestry, preferably with specialization in Plant Ecology/Taxonomy/Forest resource assessment /Forest accounting Nature of Duties & Responsibilities Field Research, data base development, data analysis and report writing/presentation Desirable Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains and experience of working in the region *Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically handicapped candidates as per the rule.
