No. - 02: National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) [Socio Economic Development (SED) Theme] Position: Junior Research Fellow/Junior Project Fellow (01 No.) Emoluments: @ Rs. 25,000/ p.m. + HRA for NET(JRF) qualified candidate & Rs. 16,000/ p.m. + HRA for Non Net-JPF Age*: Maximum 28 Years Qualification: First class Masters degree in Social Science Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having work experience Nature of Duties: Take up issues of traditional livelihood in the mountain in view of the diverse pressure which causes environmental imbalance, weakening livelihood and increasing outmigration; Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains Place of work: Uttarakhand but likely to be posted anywhere in IHR Sl. No. –06: NMHS-DSR funded project Project Title: A sustainable approach for livelihood improvement by integrated natural resource management in the central Himalaya Position: Junior Project Fellow- (01 No.) Emoluments: @ Rs. 16,000/ month +HRA Age*: Maximum 28 Years Eligibility: First Class Masters degree in Science/ Social science/Earth Science Desirable: Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains Nature of Duties & Responsibilities: Field demonstration, technology transfer, capacity building, database development, data analysis and manual/report preparation Sl. No. –07: DST-NMSHE Task Force-3 funded project Title: Forest Resource and Plant Biodiversity Position: Junior Research Fellow (01 No.) Emoluments**: @ Rs. 12,000/ Month +HRA @ Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for NET/GATE qualified Age*: Maximum 28 Years Eligibility: First Class Masters degree in Botany/Forestry/ Environmental Sciences/ Biodiversity/Remote Sensing & GIS Nature of Duties & Responsibilities: Field Research, data base development, data analysis and report writing/presentation Desirable: Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains and experience of working in the region All rules of DST and/or Institute will apply. **Emoluments likely to be revised Sl.
