Applications are invited for purely project-based positions on a temporary basis for three years at G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development. The positions are for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Junior Project Fellow (JPF) under the in-house project entitled, 'Reinventing pilgrimage potential for tourism development in the sacred landscape of Garhwal Himalaya'. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant subjects/specializations with consistently good academic records and experience may apply. The selected candidates will be responsible for working on the project, which aims to reinvent the pilgrimage potential for tourism development in the sacred landscape of Garhwal Himalaya. The project will involve conducting research, collecting data, and analyzing the results to provide recommendations for sustainable tourism development in the region. The selected candidates will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, and will be responsible for preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as required. The positions are temporary and will be filled for a period of three years. The selected candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 16,000 + HRA (for non-NET qualified) and Rs. 25,000 + HRA (for NET qualified). The age limit for the positions is 28 years, with relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC as per government norms.
